Downloads and Offloads
in which our hero shares news on how to buy digital copies of his comic
Dear Readers,
How are things in your neck of the woods? I’m just back from shipping off copies of The Blood of Seven Queens #3 to early buyers and I’m looking forward to a weekend of writing, arting, and playing a little (too much) Civilization VII. I might even sleep at some point.
I’m pleased to report that you can now buy downloadable digital copies of every issue of The Blood of Seven Queens at my Ko-Fi shop. I know, based on how my Kickstarter went, that some folks prefer PDFs. And I’m happy to finally be able to offer them through my own storefront.
I’m not so pleased to report that I fell so far behind on art for the next issue last weekend that I only caught up on Wednesday. Sadly, that’s left me scrambling not to fall behind again this week. But thankfully, the stuff I have remaining to do for this week is a whole simpler. It’s just a woman and her plush toy cat having a conversation about the angry mob waiting outside. That’s all. No more compositing 12 layers of fight-scene action for each panel—at least for a little while.
Seriously: Writer Chris is trying to drive Artist Chris insane with this issue. I think he delights in torturing me/himself.
At any rate, I’ll leave it there for this week. In the meantime, let me know what you’ve been reading lately. Anything good? Or if you’re more of a viewing type, send me your recommendations for the screen instead. I might even pause my video game long enough to pick up a book or put on a movie.
Yours,
Chris
My wife and I have been reading a book together called "The Let Them Theory," which is mostly about letting go of things outside your control. Believe it or not, it has actually helped me mitigate my anxiety surrounding the news cycle chaos we're currently living in. (I'm still a nervous wreck, but way more functional!)
