Progress Report
in which our hero tries to get back on track
Dear Readers,
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to get back to updating y’all weekly. And so, though I’m technically a day late and I don’t have a ton to share, I wanted to drop this quick note to you to let you know where we stand on the release of *The Blood of Seven Queens* #6.
I’m proud to announce that the Kickstarter for the issue will launch on March 24 and run until April 10. And in case you hadn’t heard, there’s a pre-launch page where you can sign up to get notified that the campaign is live and ready for your pledge.
It’s been a long time coming, but I hope this is the last time I’ll have such a large gap between issues. I know I’m just one guy with a full-time job making this thing in his spare time, but I’d like to finish this thing before I’m dead—and maybe even before I’m 50.
Of course, the big five-oh is getting closer and closer every day. It’s just over 19 months from now, in fact. But I’m still hopeful.
While I prep the Kickstarter for issue #6, I’m hard at work on the script and pre-production for issue #7. I’d hit a stumbling block last weekend, but I’m happy to report that I cleared that hurdle during a writing session this morning—all thanks to a chance glance at a map of Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
That’s a whole story in and of itself, a tale of trying to fit too many ideas into a single imaginary city, but I’ll save that one for next time. I’m growing sleepy on this Saturday evening, and there’s a lot to say that my tired brain ain’t up for saying at the moment.
Yours,
Chris
