Dear Readers,
Last week the Emerald City was trying to kill me, but this week it’s kidney stones. At least I hope it’s kidney stones and not something worse. Although, given how much these things hurt, I’m not sure what could be worse.
Health stuff aside—and there’s been lots of health stuff, not just for me but for others in the family, and I’m kinda sick of it—the week’s gone alright. I was really churning away at pages for The Blood of Seven Queens for a few days and that pumped up my confidence a wee bit. Even if things went south and it took me as many days to get the last page of the week done as it took me to get the first three done, I’ve proven to myself that I can move along at a steady clip if the rest of life stays out of my way.
I also finished the script for issue 3 and started brainstorming ideas for issue 4.
And I think that’s it for this week. I feel the kidney stone pain creeping up on me again, and I want to get this newsletter out before I end up curled in the fetal position on my bed.
Paid subscribers, keep scrolling to read pages 17-20. Everyone else, I’ll see you back here next week!
Yours,
Chris
