Dear Readers,
I’m proud to unveil the cover for Blood of Seven Queens #1, which will come out in July 2024. That’s next month, if you’re keeping score.
Pre-orders will open up next week, at which point I’ll also share a public preview of the issue’s opening pages. It’s really starting to feel real now, and that’s a great feeling after I spent the weekend arguing with the computer in my quest to get the art started for issue 2.
In other news, I’ve begun breaking down the story beats for issue 4 and just generally feeling good about where I am creatively. Marketing-wise, I have no idea what I’m going to do to get this series noticed. Production-wise, I don’t know whether I should aim for an issue every two months or every three months instead. But at least I’m back to feeling like I’m making something cool.
At least I feel like, creatively, I’m doing the best work of my career so far.
That’s all from me for this week, but before I leave you, here’s a question for you: What’s your favorite fairy tale, folk tale, or urban legend?
Yours,
Chris
Wow, Chris! How striking! And of course, you had me at “blood.” 😀
You do such phenomenal work, Chris! I love seeing how this is coming along. As for favorite urban legend, it's probably The Man from Taured: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Zegrus. Or at least it is today. That might change tomorrow.
