Chapter 3 of The Blood of Seven Queens
in which our hero shares an 8-page preview of the new issue
Dear Readers,
You can order your copy of The Blood of Seven Queens #3 today, right now, at my Ko-fi shop. In my not-so-humble and completely unbiased opinion, it’s a great story. But I’ll let you decide for yourselves with an eight-page preview below.
In case you missed it, I’ve decided not to go with a full-on Kickstarter campaign this time around. I probably will do a Kickstarter in June for a bundle of all of this year’s issues, so I want to save my energy for that one—to keep my powder dry, as it were. And so, I’m going to focus on promoting this here issue here in the newsletter and over on Bluesky and that’ll be that.
You’ll note I didn’t mention Facebook or Instagram there. That’s because I’m done with them. I’ve closed my accounts in both places and have no intention of returning. After seeing one of my relatives celebrating the inauguration of the racist, bigoted, fascist, and misogynistic nincompoop who me and my fellow Americans must once again call Mr. President, I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t need to be reminded daily of how alone I am, politically speaking, in my family.
At any rate, that’s all the political talk you’ll get from me for now—and hopefully for a good, long while—but I had to get that off my chest.
Back to the comic!
Here’s the blurb I’m going with for the new issue:
The woman in the red riding hood is in a race against time to save her people from an evil which looms large in the west.
The Empire of Oz is preparing for war! Frieda Jacobs has seen it with her own eyes. Determined to defend her homeland from the impending invasion, Frieda has raced to the city which sits closest to the border. Now, here in the ancient city of Covenant, Frieda must do all she can to convince her reluctant cousin to join the fight. If she fails, it might mean the end of Wonderland as she knows it!
Meanwhile, in the past, can a famous ancestor spin straw into gold fast enough to satisfy the tyrannical Uther Pendragon?! Buy your copy of The Blood of Seven Queens #3 to find out!
And here, as promised, is an eight-page preview—plus the front cover and the inside-cover recap.
That’s all for now. Please, if you enjoyed the preview, grab yourself a copy to enjoy. They’ll ship in early February.
Yours,
Chris
